Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London on the 22nd of August 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 after she had signed with Warner Bros Records. The album peaked at the third spot at the top of the U.K. album chart, and had eight singles, which included the U.K. top ten hit single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa's album, which is now been certified platinum in a variety of countries across the world, won her two Brit Awards (in 2018) in the categories of British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was born in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. It is possible to trace her family's roots back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Her grandfathers were both historians. Gjin as well as Rina are her sisters. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who is the principal musician and vocalist for the Kosovan the group Oda.
