Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. The music of DiFranco is classified as alternative rock, folk rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco was the very first musician to start her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had met while attending an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian origin as was her mother born in Montreal. Ani's song, 32 Flavors, was composed by her and is performed by Ani.
