
Kelly Clarkson (in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is an American TV personality and singer-songwriter. As of 2002, she won the American Idol talent competition. Clarkson was raised at Burleson (Texas) which is a suburb of Fort Worth. Her vocal talent was recognized at seven from the head of the choir department at the school she attended. Following graduation, Clarkson made the move into Los Angeles, where she was unsuccessful in her attempt to enter the show business. After returning home in Texas in 2002, Clarkson competed on the Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol. This singing competition let viewers decide which singer they liked best. Clarkson's charisma, voice, and humour were immediately adored by viewers. Her prize in the prize draw was $1 million plus a recording contract with RCA.
